A 偏差事件 is unwelcome conduct that has a negative impact on an individual or group, 人们可以合理地得出结论，这是基于实际或感知到的受保护特征, regardless of whether the conduct is unlawful or violates policy.

No. A student who believes they have been or are being subjected to a 偏差事件 may choose whether or not they would like to submit a 偏差事件 report. 学生也可以选择通过直接沟通或调解来解决这种行为, though under no circumstances are they required to do so. The 学生多样性和包容性办公室 is available to students to discuss any 偏差事件s regardless if they have been reported or not.

学生 can inform their Resident Assistant (RA) or Area Coordinator if a 偏差事件 has occurred in their residence hall in order to ensure support for the student communities residing in the building. 学生也可以通过在线系统向校园安全部门报告并提交偏见报告. 住宿部将为受事件直接影响的学生提供直接支持.

Potential sanctions for students found responsible for violating the student conduct code in relation to a 偏差事件 may include the following:

• Removal from the residence halls 和/or campus, Suspension, or Expulsion
• Financial sanctions for replacement or repair of YCP or personal property

The College will communicate with the individual or individuals who reported the case 和 who were impacted by the incident to the extent allowed by law.
